Head downtown

Be one with nature

The James E. Grey Preserve is an 80-acre park, just waiting to be explored. Visitors can launch a kayak or canoe and let all of their thoughts drift away as they paddle along. This Preserve also has a 1.3-mile trail and boardwalk loop to venture out, plus an observation deck that is perfect for fishing. If you are someone who enjoys wildlife, fresh air and the chance to relax, the James E. Grey Preserve is calling your name!

Experience Anclote Key

Anclote Key is truly the place to be. Anclote Key Preserve State Park is comprised of four islands: Anclote Key, North Anclote Bar, South Anclote Bar and Three Rooker Island. Sandy, salty and serene, this state park is right off Tarpon Springs and is only accessible through ferry or boat. Have some fun at Sims Park

Sims Park has everything in one—a splash park, boat dock, riverfront walk, amphitheater, kayak/canoe launch….you want it, this park has it! Sims Park encourages activity, whether it be lounging in the open green space for a picnic or cruising down the water. The park is wheelchair accessible, dog-friendly and comes complete with free parking. The entire park has restrooms readily available and five pavilions with two grills, if you want to have a celebration. Sims Park truly lives up to its reputation as the people’s park!

Get a taste of the big city

New Port Richey has plenty going on to keep anyone busy. But another great thing about this location? It’s just 35 miles from the big city of Tampa. Take a day trip and enjoy some special shopping, dining or nightlife. Or, take advantage of Florida’s Sports Coast and catch a football or hockey game. Tampa also has some fun attractions, from Busch Gardens to the Florida Aquarium. When you’ve had your fill, it’s just a short drive home.
